Nightmares in the Night

Nightmares in the night.

And in the day.

Any time of day.

Any time of night.

Something has grabbed your ankle and you desperately want to run away but you can't move.

One of Iblis' pale cold ghoulen is crouched over you as you lay terrified on your back in the bed almost asleep.

You can even feel her cold breath on your damp skin.

A nightmare is anything that leaves you feeling afraid.

Like when you see the check engine light come on.

Our nightmares let us know that something is wrong and it needs to be dealt with.

Our fears concerning the unresolved issue are being manifested in our dreams.

It all sounds so clear cut but when your locked in fear, trembling and frozen stiff and awaken from a nightmare by your own pathetic whimpering that clear cut reason for a nightmare does not help a bit.

Especially if you wake up in bed alone.

It could be night or day waking up alone after a nightmare is almost as bad as the nightmare that woke you up in the first place.

But now we all know that a nightmare is just real life spilling over into our sleep.

So from now on we will sleep easy.

Right?
