SandalWood

Sandalwood is what I smell

and

cool air conditioning all around.

We drive through the late night.

Your caressing hand

in my lap feels so right.

I hold it tightly.

The music plays softly.

For your touch I have waited nightly.

Awaking to missing your kisses

daily.

Finally you're here.

I hold back a tear.

Hate so much when you're away.

You always not here is more

than I can bear.

You watch the road calmly.

I watch you most longingly.

When you're gone

I do not

know what to do.

My pain I keep to myself.

My fears I push to the back of

The shelf.

I breathe deeply.

Tonight no sleepy.

Hoping you will always

love me.

Later I will show you

my love in many ways.

I smell you in the air.

The sandalwood that you wear.

Almost dizzying.

No resisting.

To the music I sing.

You're home again.
