Others very wrong

very strong.
But I knew in an
instant
that my hopes were
gone.
Even though I had
hoped for so long.
Even though I had
waited
for so long.

Funny it was.
Amusing to me.
After all this time
what else could it be?
Just another dashed
dream.

Added to my mind
as a memory.
Just another waste
of time.
All this ran through
my mind
as I
laughed instead
of cried.
As I told myself
"you'll be fine".
